Announcement of Candidacy

Carrboro resident, Michelle Johnson, is pleased to announce that on July 1st she traveled to the Orange County Board of Elections and filed for candidacy for a seat on the Carrboro Board of Aldermen. She rounded the day out with a celebration at Open Eye Cafe with old friends, new friends, and an amazing group of supporters.
Michelle has lived in Carrboro since 2001 and is well connected in the community.  She works and lives in the heart of downtown Carrboro. Michelle is a clinical social worker in private practice on Weaver Street, an artist working out of her in-home pottery studio on Center Street, a yoga instructor who can often be found at Carrboro Yoga Company, and an activist in Carrboro and across the state.  She is looking forward to engaging the citizens of Carrboro in the coming months on the many important issues facing the town.
